Postano helps users enhance their websites with real time social content. The use begins by adding content from popular sources, including Facebook, Twitter, RSS feeds, Google News and YouTube. The user can select specific colors to go with their existing web page’s color scheme. Users who are embedding content can opt out of customizations. Content filtering buttons and search boxes are also available so users can control what shows on their site and how it is found by visitors. The first option is to create a vanity URL while the second requires a paid subscription and allows the user to embed content directly into their site using the code provided by Postano. Regardless of which the user clicks, a pop up box will appear and ask the user to sign in using their Facebook profile. There is no alternative option available at this time. Of course this makes some sense since Postano utilizes social content in its service. The addition of a Twitter log in might be a nice touch to give users more flexibility.

Postano provides users with four account options, based on the number of fans the user’s profile receives. Users with up to 2,000 fans are provided free access to all of Postano’s current basic features. Users who maintain up to 10,000 fans can pay around $10 per month to use Postano’s services. The third plan is intended for users with up to 100,000 fans and costs around $100 per month. Users with more than 100,000 fans are required to contact Postano to receive a customized quote.
